After Energy Improvements
- Greenstar 24i System boiler
- Greenskies solar panels
Worcester’s range of gas-fired Greenstar boilers are all SEDBUK ‘A’ rated, which guarantees that they will save energy, cost less to run and do less harm to the environment. In addition, the Greenskies solar panels, which are compatible with the Worcester boiler, are one of the simplest ways to reduce both CO2 emissions and save on fuel bills.
The Greenskies solar water heating system can provide between 50-70% of a home’s hot water requirements for free. The system has been operating since July 2006 and over this time her gas bills have been significantly reduced. Mrs N said: "I switched my boiler off last March and have only just turned it back on in October, meaning all the hot water I’ve been using over this time has effectively been free.
“I’ve been absolutely delighted with my solar water heating system, not only am I saving on my fuel bills each month, but my home’s CO2 emissions have been significantly reduced, thus helping to protect the environment. My old heating system was ready to be replaced but I really didn’t know where to start. Now I have the best possible system – all thanks to Worcester.”
Official energy ratings taken from Energy Performance Certificate
Energy efficiency ratingVery energy efficient - lower running costs Not very energy efficient - high running costs The energy efficiency rating is a measure of the overall efficiency of a home. The higher the rating the more energy efficient the home is and the lower the fuel bills are | Environmental impact (CO2) ratingVery environmentally friendly - lower CO2 emissions Not environmentally friendly - high CO2 emissions The environmental impact rating is a measure of a home’s impact on the environment in terms of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The higher the rating the less impact it has on the environment. |
