After Energy Improvements
- Ground source heat pump
- Greenskies solar panels
- Greenstar 12i System boiler
The property now features Worcester’s ‘A’ rated appliances, including a Greenstore 6kW combination heat pump (with a bore hole in the back garden), a Greenstar i system boiler, a Greenskies solar water heating system, as well as underfloor heating. The aim is to make the house totally energy efficient and to monitor and record energy statistics.
Additional energy conservation and saving measures have also been incorporated within the property:
Thermafleece loft insulation, triple glazed argon filled timber windows sourced from managed forests and a rainwater harvesting system for toilet flushing and washing machine. Smartboard building material has also been used, which helps keep air temperature almost constant by absorbing and dissipating the room’s temperatures.
The energy efficiency of this property would not be able to achieve an A rating due to it being a renovation of a 1930's property rather than a new build
Official energy ratings taken from Energy Performance Certificate
