A Worcester Greenstar 24i Junior system boiler which, like all new Worcester boilers is SEDBUK A rated was installed. This runs in tandem with the solar panels and the cylinder which stores the hot water to ensure a constant hot water supply.

Mrs T said: “We would definitely recommend this system to anyone who is interested in solar water heating systems for their own home. Renewable home heating technology is of major importance to the future of our planet and continues to develop and advance.

“In the middle of winter, we have already seen a saving of between £15-£25 per month on our fuel bills which is great news – there are lots of other places we can spend the money!”

Official energy ratings taken from Energy Performance Certificate

Energy efficiency rating

Very energy efficient

- lower running costs

Energy efficiency chartee-76

Not very energy efficient - high running costs

The energy efficiency rating is a measure of the overall efficiency of a home. The higher the rating the more energy efficient the home is and the lower the fuel bills are
likely to be.

Very environmentally friendly

- lower CO2 emissions

Environmental impact chartei-77

Not environmentally friendly - high CO2 emissions
